More Brendanisms

Upon viewing a DVD of himself on the TV -
B - Ooh, the Brendan show!!!!

Mr. B was having a little trouble with the concept of feeling sorry for your actions as opposed to just saying the words I'm sorry. We had some talks about this. Grandma wanted him to either take off his shirt or wear a bib to eat some spaghetti. He refused and took the bib shoving it under her chair and told her "And I'm not sorry!!". Guess he's gotten the idea.

B - Asia, asia, asia.
Me - What about Asia?
B - You went to Asia.
Me - I went to Asia?
B - Yes, you saw the dolphin show in Asia.
(I've never seen a dolphin show in Asia)

Wandering around the mall and looking at some end of season clothing sales, I stopped to look at a skirt that was not on a sale rack -
B - Mommy, no that's not on sale!!!

After what will be forever none as the potty incident (I fell into the toilet hanging a shower curtain) Brendan awoke the next morning and ran into the bathroom to look at the shower curtain and said "Wow, the new shower curtain. Remember Mommy when you fell in the toilet and I laughed."

And the best, a few days ago when Brendan was trying to argue me in circles, I told him "This isn't a democracy. It's a dictatorship and I'm the dictator." He asked me what a dictator was and I told him the boss. Forgot about the conversation and then at the bookstore Brendan sees some books and says "Are these adult books?" I said yes and he said "You read them because you're an adult" Then I said "What kind of books do you read?" He answered "Kids books because I'm a kid." And then he pointed at me and said "And you're a dictator." Cue the hysterical laughter of the people around us.

bahahahaha!!! I love that one, I'm going to tell our little Napoleon that I'm the dictator (and leave D to struggle with her own coup later!).

That boy is so funny & smart! Our 12 y.o. was repeatedly saying, in the most delighted tone, "I'm a map!" in the car last night until we made him STOP. Upon which, he simply switched to singing, "A new episode of Spongebob Squarepants!" Oy!
